The Association of Pallet Networks (APN) has launched a poster campaign to broaden awareness of what actions should be taken in the event of a forklift rollover. Developed by APN's Health & Safety Forum Group, the 'Buckle up, no excuses', poster advises forklift operators to brace their feet hold on tight to the steering wheel lean away from impact and lean forward if the vehicle is about to roll over.

Paul Sanders, APN chairman says that while all forklift operators receive ongoing training, it was felt a campaign would raise the awareness of the strict buckle-up requirements each and every time they get on a forklift. APN's Forum Group meets every three months to discuss health and safety issues in hub environments and will be launching a second campaign towards the end of the year, which will focus on guidelines for loading double-deck trailers.
