As the requirements on environmental protection become more and more strict in the global scope, Europe and America has put forward emission standards EC and EPA respectively carried out in stages about industrial trucks, for example EC Stage I, Stage II and Stage III as well as EPA Tier I, Tier II and Tier III. The formulation and implementation of the above standards become the technical barriers for ICE forklifts entering European and American markets.

Heli ICE forklifts are various in kinds and tonnages, which brought difficulties to the human resource and development cycle of eco-friendly forklifts. However, in order to expand international market, the state-level technical center and relative departments in Heli joined their force to understand the industrial standard at home and abroad, conduct market research. After the selection of engines, forklift design, test, improvement and test again, various kinds of forklifts finally passed the foreign certification.

During the development of eco-friendly forklifts, Heli invited foreign experts to induct on spot. They firstly inspect according to the standard requirements of forklift industry in China, and then conduct tests of air inlet resistance, air outlet resistance and fuel resistance to ensure the engine meeting the emission standard after being assembled on the forklift.

Heli eco-friendly forklifts adopted closed loop circuit fuel control system, ECU auto modified air-fuel ratio, three way catalyst system and CAN bus technology. The application of these new technologies and systematic schemes enabled the technological level of Heli eco-friendly forklift projects to position as the leader at home and reach the advanced international level.
