National Technical Committee on Industrial Trucks of Standardization Administration of China held the inauguration meeting in Beijing from June 28^th to July 1^st. 34 members from Standardization Administration attended the meeting. The Industrial Standard Department Director of National Technical Committee on Risk Management of Standardization Administration of China Yin Minghan and Deputy Director Wang Junwei, Deputy Chief of Bureau of Safety Supervision of Special Equipment of General Administration of Quality Supervision Wu Jinsheng and Division Chief of China Machinery Industry Federation Standardization Working Department Zhao Rong were invited to take part in the opening ceremony of the meeting.

The opening ceremony was presided by Deputy Director of National Technical Committee on Risk Management of Standardization Administration of China Wang Junwei. After reading the Reply to Establishment of National Technical Committee on Industrial Trucks of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 332), all the leaders authorized certification to the committee members. Then, Director Yin Minghan, Deputy Chief Wu Jinsheng and Division Chief Zhao Rong gave speeches respectively on behalf of National Technical Committee on Risk Management of Standardization Administration of China, Bureau of Safety Supervision of Special Equipment of General Administration of Quality Supervision and China Machinery Industry Federation Standardization Working Department, showing their congratulations to the establishment of National Technical Committee on Industrial Trucks of Standardization Administration of China.

Director Yin Minghan then thanked to relative units and emphasized that the National Technical Committee on Industrial Trucks of Standardization Administration was necessary to be established in order to meet the demands of opening standardization work under the new situation. He hoped the committee could complete the standard system of industrial trucks and conduct proper standard research on energy saving; do well in organizational construction, enabling the committee to act as a belt between the enterprises and the Government; and strengthen the communication with ISO/TC 110, shortening the gap and improving the standard level in China.

Then, Director Member Hong Shang addressed on behalf the newly-built committee. He firstly appreciated the attendance and guidance of all the leaders, and then hoped that all the members could behavior well on the posts under the concern of leaders and support of colleagues, making the committee a success according to relative laws and regulations.

After the opening ceremony, all the representatives attending the meeting took a group photo.

The Secretary-General of the National Technical Committee on Industrial Trucks of Standardization Administration Zhao Chunhui presided over the 1^st Meeting. Firstly, Director Member Hong Shang put forward the responsibilities and tasks of the committee. The establishment of National Technical Committee on Industrial Trucks of Standardization Administration was a new milestone and starting point. Each member shall be active to strengthen the organizational construction and systematic construction and fasten the revision of standards and the acknowledgement of latest news of international standards to occupy the speech right and vote right as well as complete standard systems to conduct excellent industrial service to improve the department of industrial truck industry.  

According to the agenda of the meeting, the representatives coordinated and discussed the Regulation for National Technical Committee on Industrial Trucks of Standardization Administration, Working Details for Secretary Office of National Technical Committee on Industrial Trucks of Standardization Administration and the work in recent time. Meanwhile, according to the 2006-2010 Planning Project List of Industrial Trucks Regulations, the meeting made 8 national standard projects and listed into the revision plan of standards in 2009.

The attendant representatives revised four national standard drafts including Industrial Trucks: Additional Requirements on Auto Function of Trucks (Draft to Be Approved), Industrial Trucks: Technical Requirements on Indicating Lights on Container Hoisting Tools and Catching Arm (Draft to Be Approved), Forklift: Fork Extension Sleeve and Telescopic Fork Technical Features and Strength Requirements (Draft to Be Approved) and Two-way and Multi-way forklifts Stability Test (Draft to Be Approved). After listening to standard drafters about the introduction of formulating the standards, the representatives discussed the above for drafts one by one, set forth several modification suggestions and finally passed the approval of the above four standard drafts.
