On July 3^rd, Yuchai Joint Stock Co., Ltd. held 2008 Safety Production Month Commendation Meeting. The Secretary of Company Party Committee Liang Ping, the Assistant of General Manager and Manager of Production Department Ning Xingyong, Leaders from Safety Sector in each plant and functional department as well as relevant working staff attended the meeting.

The theme of Safety Production Month in 2008 was Govern Hidden Danger, Prevention of Accident. The company centralized each task of governing hidden perils to strengthen the responsibility bodies related to safety production, fully practicing the measures of inspecting and handling hidden perils. Each plant emphasized on the safety inspection of machinery equipment, electrical equipment and locomotive vehicles, and conducted technical inspection to oil store (temporary oil storage point) and chemical store, rectifying specific measures after finding out hidden perils. In addition, the company also ordered a lot of books and videos of safety publicity, organized 6235 people to watch the picture show of safety production month, opened contests of safety management, hidden peril inspection and governing of production sites and gathered the safety staff from each unit to conduct on-spot inspection and comment activity. Through the various activities listed above, the company further improved the ability of all the staff to prevent accidents and promoted the enhancement of on-spot safety management so as to guarantee the life and assets of the staff.

Aiming at some questions put forward on the meeting, Ning Xingyong said that relative department should consider more about the safety and interests of the staff to carry out specific measures to solve the shortcomings in the process of work.

Secretary Liang Ping laid stress on the activity content of safety production that on-spot safety management should adopt methods of going out and bringing in through concluding experiences and communicating methods to take advantages on improving on-spot safety management level. The key of safety work was to find out the hidden perils and that each unit shall pay more attention on safety inspection. Make sure to solve the problems and enhance the capacity to handle emergencies while maintaining the stability of the society.

The list of advanced units and individuals were announced on the meeting. Cold processing plant was the first-prize winner of Advanced Unit in 2008 Safety Production Month.
