With the aim of implementing strategic development to make LiuGong stronger, LiuGong Northern Construction Machinery Development & Manufacturing Base, the newly-built project with the largest investment scale broke ground in Tianjin Airport International Logistics Park in Binhai New Area on June 30^th.

Leaders such as Standing Committee Member of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Director of Binhai New Area Management Committee Gou Lijun, Vice-Mayor Wang Zhiping, Vice-President of China Construction Machinery Association Cai Weici, Chairman of the Board Wang Xiaohua and Vice President Yang Yichuan cut the ribbon for the project together.

Chairman of the Board of LiuGong Wang Xiaohua said in the address that LiuGong Northern Construction Machinery Development & Manufacturing Base settled in Tianjin Binhai New Area aimed at making use of the critical strategic position and resource advantages of Tianjin as the largest international harbor in Northern China so as to improve the fast development of LiuGong.

Vice-Mayor Wang Zhiping and Vice-President of China Construction Machinery Association Cai Weici showed their congratulations to the construction of project respectively on behalf of Tianjin Municipal Government and the Association. Wan Zhiping said that it is an important project of LiuGong investing to construct Northern Base in Tianjin to realize strategic development, and the construction will enable LiuGong make full use of the location and policy advantages in Tianjin Binhai New Area to establish a totally new development platform for the enterprise to fasten development, create wider development space while it will be helpful to establish Tianjin to be an equipment manufacturing base with stronger gathering and radiating function.

To invest and construct LiuGong Northern Construction Machinery Development & Manufacturing Base—Tianjin LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. is another important measure of LiuGong to carry out the 10th Five-Year development strategy. As the newly-built project with the largest investment scale, the project has been listed into one of 20 Key Industrial Construction Projects of Tianjin Municipal Government in 2008.

Loader plant and bulldozer plant will be built in the base. The loader plant will be built up and put into operation in Nov. 2008 while the bulldozer plant will be built up within two years after cooperation with relevant plants according to actual situation.

Before breaking ground, Standing Committee Member of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Director of Binhai New Area Management Committee Gou Lijun, Vice-Mayor Wang Zhiping met Vice-President of China Construction Machinery Association Cai Weici, Chairman of the Board Wang Xiaohua, Vice President Yang Yichuan and General Manager of Tianjin LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. in Airport International Logistic Park. During the meeting, Gou Lijun welcomed LiuGong Northern Base to settle in Tianjin on behalf of Tianjin Municipal Party Committee. He said that the implementation of Tianjin Binhai New Area development is a great strategy for the state’s development and it must be an outstanding developing strategy for LiuGong to select Tianjin Haibin New Area to enhance overall competition ability. Gou Lijun declared that Tianjin Municipal Government and Binhai New Area will make every effort to coordinate with LiuGong to fasten construction with high quality while at high speed.
