On March 27^th, Komatsu Forklift (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. held the 5^th National Dealer Conference in Jinan. Komatsu dealers all through China gathered in Crown Plaza Hotel and went to visit the new plant—Komatsu Utility (China) Machinery Co., Ltd. (established by merging Komatsu Forklift Plant and Komatsu Zenoah Plant in November, 2007).

In Utility Plant, the dealers visited on-spot production process. Each forklift and compact excavator is assembled on the production line. In March, the newly-designed AE/AM 50 series electric vehicles launced in 2007 began to be manufactured in China.

On the square of Komatsu Utility Plant, working staff of Komatsu Forklift (Shanghai) demonstrated the fundamental performances of AE/AM50 to the dealers. Except the overhead guard, mast, fork, frame, battery and tires are domestic parts; others are all original Japanese parts. As its main parts are general used on Japanese vehicles, the features are also same as the Japanese ones. The staff also assisted each dealer to drive the machine, experiencing the advanced performances of the new electric vehicle.
