The import and export trade value of China construction machinery in 2008 First Quarter reached 4.2 billion dollars, a year-on-year increase of 51.6%; among this, the import and export amount are 1.36 billion dollars and 2.85 billion dollars with a year-on-year increase of 20% and 73.6% respectively.

In the first quarter of 2008, import value of units accumulated to 770 million dollars, increasing 6% compared with that in 2007, up to 56% of the total import amount while import value of parts accumulated to 590 million dollars, increasing 45% compared with that in 2007, up to 44% of the total import amount. Among these, import value of track excavators was 350 million dollars, up to 45% of imported units, forklift 77.87 million dollars and tunnel boring machine 56.49 million dollars, increasing 17%, 15% and 19% respectively compared with that in 2007.
