Shantui recently announced that the company decided to self-finance capitals to construct Shantui Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd. (for temporary use) in Jining High & New Technology Development Zone in Shandong Province with registered capital of RMB 80 million Yuan. The company will invest RMB 80 million Yuan in cash up to 100% of the registered capital.

Shantui Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd. will mainly be engaged in research, development, manufacturing, sales, rent, repair and technology consultancy service of forklifts and hoisting conveying machinery (operated by license), small excavators and variety products. The plant construction will begin from May 2008 and end before the first half year of 2010 while being put into production in the second half year. It is predicated that the plant will reach an annual production capacity of 10,000 forklifts, small excavators and variety products till 2011. After the project reaching designed production capacity, there will have an increasing sales income of RMB 720 million Yuan and total profit of RMB 92.29 million Yuan annually with investment profit ratio of 32.04% and investment return period of 5.38 years.

Shantui said that to invest and construct Shantui Heavy Industry Technology Co., Ltd. will be favorable for realizing the medium-long term development strategic goal of strengthening the main operation & expanding new operations; integrating resource & refining management and coordinating development & fusing into international, which is also helpful to enhance the competitiveness of the company in the field of construction machinery.
