The "Xiamen Top 10 Business People" award ceremony was grandly held at the Xiamen Great Hall of the People.  Mr. Zhang Kehui, Vice Chairman of 10th CPPCC together with other provincial and city level officials, Vice President of Xiamen University and leaders of other influential social entities were present at the ceremony. 

This event was organized by the Xiamen Strait Newspaper, Xiamen University Economic Academy and other authoritative social entities.  It attracted more than 310,000 votes from the public and was subsequently qualified by a panel of experts.  Mr. CP Quek stood out from the crowd as being the “Management Superstar”, besides driving social and economic growth in Xiamen with the localization and R&D efforts at the Linde Xiamen facility.

Mr. CP Quek, the only awardee from a multinational company, expressed that “it is a true recognition for professional managers like me, and the credit also goes to all the dedicated employees of Linde (China)”. 

Present at the ceremony was also a cheer leading team made up of more than 100 Linde (China) employees in the outstanding red attire and with participation from the foreign nationals working in the company.  The cheer leading team was later recognized as the “Most Special Cheer Leading Team” with their slogan “Excellence at Work – We Can Do It!”.
