On April 16^th, General Manager of Jiangsu Jianghuai Engine Co., Ltd. Hu Erguang signed cooperation contract with Deputy Secretary of Party Committee in Shanggang Town, Jianhu and Town Governor Chen Alian. The contract symbolized that production line of 800,000 sets of engine body and cylinder head as well as exported parts settled in Shanggang Industrial Park in Jianhu, Jiangsu, China.

This project is one of the emphases among Jianghuai “11^th-five year” development planning. At the beginning of 2008, the company decided to expropriate 200 Mu land in Shanggang Industrial Park after inspection, carrying out the construction of production line of 800,000 sets of engine body and cylinder head as well as exported parts. The company invested RMB 560 million Yuan on the project and constructed 54,200 m² workshops while added more than 70 sets of casting production and testing equipments such as static press molding line. The project will form production capacity of annually manufacturing 800,000 engine bodies, 800,000 cylinder heads for single-cylinder engines and 100,000 engine bodies, 100,000 cylinder heads for multi-cylinder engines as well as 3000 ton processing parts after putting into production.

General Manager Hu Erguang said in the speech that Jianghuai will further enhance the technology innovation and product development force, expand the product series and strengthen the enterprise to make Shanggang one of the important manufacturing bases of Jianghuai, contributing to the development of Jianhu as well as realizing the fast growth of Jianghuai.

Secretary of Jianhu County Party Committee Zhang Lixiang said in the speech of congratulating the contract that settlement of Jianghuai Project in Jianhu will fasten the growth of agricultural machine industry; as Shanggang is near Yancheng urban area, we believe that the cooperation between Jianghuai and Shanggang will accomplish abundant results. Jianhu County Party Committee and Government will support the development of Jianghuai in an all-round way.
