On May 12^th, 2008, a 7.8 grade earthquake happened in Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, China (North Latitude 31.0°, East Longitude 103.4°), and there was strong quaking in Yuanzhou District. The disaster pulled down a lot of cob walls, and other situations are under inspection.

Chengdu Construction Committee called for excavators, pallet trucks to load excavators and small diesel engines to the construction system in Chengdu through broadcasting. All the excavators, pallet trucks and small diesel engines which will move to Dujiang Dam can go along Chengguan Highway and Construction Committee will assign special personnel to meet them.
