It was reported recently that Guangxi Yuchai Group accomplished sales revenue of 5.98 billion Yuan in the first quarter of 2008, a year-on-year increase of 51.2%. Six core industrial blocks of Yuchai have finished the expected goal, among which Engine Block realized sales revenue of 3.8 billion Yuan, Automobile & Chemical Block 557 million Yuan and Logistics, Mechanical & Electrical Block 424 million Yuan with a year-on-year increase of 45.4%, 157% and 56.2% respectively in the first quarter of 2008.

2008 is the last year for Yuchai to fully achieve the goal of Rebuilding another Yuchai in Three Years. Yuchai has made the operation target of the whole year into 23 billion Yuan, increasing 25% compared with the realistic accomplishment in the previous year.

In these three years since 2005, Yuchai has built up the core concept of Green Development and Harmonious Win-win, under the guide of which Yuchai pioneered to self-innovation, rapidly enhanced the integrated innovation ability and put forward a batch of auto “Green Heart” with intellectual rights. As for exhaust emission, Yuchai had successfully manufactured engines firstly meeting Status Standard III, IV and V in China, which were produced 3-5 years earlier than the compulsively implemented State Emission Standard. The Group has made out car engine with 1.2, 1.3 L emission with the smallest size in the world, filling the gap of national manufacture; moreover, Yuchai developed urban bus (ISG Technology) combined power, which led the tendency of new power technology. In 2006 and 2007, Yuchai gained 14 national patents, ranking the first in Guangxi in terms of patent application number. The company was honored as National Advanced Unit for Patent and patent of relief notch for four-valve diesel engine cylinder cover was awarded 10^th China Excellent Patent Prize.

As leading the emission technology, economical fuel consumption, power density and reliability technology at home and keeping pace with the world, Yuchai is promoting to make emphatically use of the product advantages to strengthen the market competition. Since this year, Yuchai has a good momentum on the market.

There are new breakthroughs on Yuchai’s industrial deployment, which gives the enterprise staying power to develop. In March, Jining Yuchai Engine Co., Ltd., invested and built by Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Geely Holding Group and Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co., Ltd. laid the foundation. The project will have the capacity of annual producing 300,000 sets Euro-V environmental protection diesel engines for passenger cars. Xiamen Yuchai Engine Co., Ltd. with annual productivity of 100,000 sets engines is also under the construction, which has passed the site check and appraisal for production license. As Northern Agricultural Machinery Production Base of Yuchai, Hubei Yuchai Duoling Engine Co., Ltd. boomed in production and sales since putting into production in September, 2007. Yuchai Special Auto Production Base, established by investing 150 million Yuan, gained the Beijing Olympic Engineering Project with nearly million Yuan, realizing batch export of engineering vehicles to Vietnam. Yuchai Bright Electric Parts Co., Ltd. manufactures 200,000 sets of auto electric parts annually in the first phase, and the production base is urgently under construction.
