January 11 2008--Speedshields Intelligent Speed Adaptation (ISA) technology is currently being trialed in Victoria. Its capability to control the speed of vehicles to the legal limit is proving to be an accurate and reliable method of warning or preventing speeding drivers. With the real ability to lower the road toll it is imperative that the proactive Speedshield is looked upon by the community as the next step in making our roads safer, rather than the punitive methods of ever increasing speeding fines.

Using GPS technology Speedshield ISA is able to pin point the exact location of the vehicle and either alert the driver or control the speed if they are speeding in that particular zone. Years of thorough research and development have resulted in features such as extra power or speed when in a merging or overtaking situation.

We would like to point out that we have no affiliation with the system being trialed by Leeds University UK as reported on Today Tonight ( Channel 7 -10th January 2008) there are no supportable reports that Speedshield will be using its system for any reason other than as a proactive safety system.
