Niftylift has bought a tow tractor from Bradshaw Electric Vehicles to transport parts the quarter of a mile from its stores to its production area on public roads. The vehicle was customised in 'Nifty green'.
Derrick Osborne, of Niftylift, explains: "We opened our new stores in April this year and were faced with the problem of transporting the materials in kit form from there to the assembly area. We looked at various options to do this, including a van and even a milk float, but found an electric tow tractor and trailer to be the most economical option."
The tow tractor is used all day and then charged overnight ready for use the next morning. Niftylift opted for the T6 model which is capable of towing up to seven tonnes.
Derrick adds: "The T6 was capable of managing the loads we needed to transport and fell within our price range. We dealt with Bradshaw as they came across as a professional company and we had heard good things about them."

Four wheel hydraulic drum brakes, all round suspension, regenerative braking and fully adjustable acceleration and deceleration are fitted as standard.
The T6 has an optional battery change system which enables this tractor to work 24 hour shift patterns with ease. As the motor and controller are fully sealed, this tractor is suitable for use in hostile conditions, such as wet or dusty environments.
