Perkins Engines is exhibiting its 1106D-E66TAG ElectropaK at Power Gen New Orleans.  This new 1106D family of ElectropaK’s includes three models with 6.6 litre, electronically controlled, turbo after-cooled Perkins engines. 

These generator drive engine packages have been specifically developed to provide clean, cost-efficient, Prime, or Standby power in a high power density package optimised for key market segments.  Outputs range from 125kWe Prime to 175 kWe Standby at 1800rpm.

Built around the Tier 3 / Stage IIIa compliant 1106D engine, the 1106DTAG ElectropaK gives low emissions, excellent fuel economy and low heat rejection – important benefits for both gen set packagers and end users.

Worldwide acceptability has been improved thanks to increased fuel tolerance, which allows kerosene, jet aviation fuel and 5% bio fuel (RME) to power the units.

Perkins has also recently introduced 1104D-E44TAG1 and TAG2 ElectropaK’s covering the 72kWe Prime to 100 kWe Standby (1800 rpm) power range.  On show at Power Gen is the 1104D-E44TAG2.  These new ElectropaK’s have been designed specifically to met the US EPA tier 3 stationary/mobile emissions legislation, whilst also meeting the specialised needs of the electric power market.  Compact, 4.4 litre, inline, 4 cylinder engines with full authority electronic controls.

At the shows Perkins intends to announce 2 further new models, the 1104D-44TG1 and 1104D-E44TG1 which are required for EPA Tier 3 stationary/mobile legislated territories on the 1st January 2008. The 1104D-44TG1 produces a power output of 51.3kWe Prime and 56.6kWe Standby at 1800rpm and the 1104D-E44TG1 produces a power output of 58.7kWe Prime and 64.6kWe Standby at 1800rpm.

Perkins ElectropaKs are fully engineered, turnkey packages including an engine, radiator, charge cooler, air cleaner and all necessary piping, hoses and mounting feet.
