The Hyundai Heavy Industries Group conveyed its deep condolences to Greece, which suffered horrible nation-wide fires that ravaged over 200,000 hectares of land, leading to over 5000 refugees. HHI donated US $500,000 to the country to help the victims of this disaster.

The donation was made through Mr. Nicos Efthymiou, chairman of the Union of Greek Shipowners (UGS) in Greece.

Greece was the first customer to have ordered more than 280 ships, and the country continues to be one of HHI's most influential customers.
