The 8th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF ’07) took place in Ankara, Turkey May 22-25. Doosan Infracore was among the 495 defense contractors from fifty countries to take part in this event, organized under the Turkish Ministry of National Defense (MND). The Defense Product BG displayed mockups of seven different pieces of military hardware, including the Korea Next Infantry Fighting Vehicle, “Chun-Ma” self-propelled surface-to-air missile system and “Bi-Ho” twin 30mm self-propelled antiaircraft gun system. IDEA ’07 provided an excellent venue for negotiating new business. Many VIPs stopped by the Doosan booth, including the Turkish Assistant Secretary of Technology Cooperation for the Army & MND, the Albanian Vice Minister of Defense and the Saudi Commander-in-Chief.
