Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) gives a sneak preview of the brand new Toyota Traigo 80-volt electric forklift at the LogiMAT 2013 trade fair from 19th-21st February in Stuttgart, Germany. Hitting the market later this year, it boasts a series of improvements over its predecessor.
The Toyota Traigo 80 completes the Traigo range of electric counterbalanced forklifts, where the 24 and 48 V models are popular choices in their respective product segments. It wears the hallmark design and features of its smaller versions, honouring the core values of reliability, productivity, driveability and safety that have made Toyota a leading name among quality-conscious customers.
Range line-up
The new Toyota Traigo 80 is robust, compact and versatile – qualities that meet the needs of the occasional user and are also essential in fleet operations and intensive applications with long operating hours. Equipped with the powerful and lean Toyota AC electric drive-and-lift technology, six models from 2.0–3.5 ton capacity will initially be available: 2 ton, 2.5 ton compact, 2.5 ton, 3.0 ton compact, 3.0 ton, 3.5 ton. Working indoors and outdoors, a wide range of cabins are available for improving comfort in all-weather operations.
Great improvements in many areas
In line with Toyota’s well-known principle of continuous improvement (Kaizen), the Toyota Traigo 80 takes leaps forward in many areas: it now relies on improved productivity for users, maximum speed – paired with better energy efficiency – and superb all-around visibility. It features Toyota’s unique System of Active Stability (SAS) a world reference that supports safe and secure forklift operations while helping customers drive down material handling costs.
Additionally, drivers can take advantage of clearer through-mast visibility in operations with a choice of masts to suit different application needs.
A versatile contender for a wide range of industries
The launch of the Traigo 80 marks Toyota’s ambition to further strengthen its market position in Europe, particularly in the automotive, food and beverages and logistics industry segments.
“Listening to our customers, we understand their needs for improved efficiency and aim for a more sustainable way of working. Our new Traigo 80 electric range with higher productivity and lower energy consumption and CO₂ will support customers’ operational objectives in a more sustainable way,” comments Craig Walby, Product Management Director at Toyota Material Handling Europe.
“In addition to this, many improved features to support safety in applications make our Traigo 80 a range that raises the bar in the material handling business. We invite you later in the year to take this opportunity to try our Traigo 80.”
