Clark Held the 1st Dealer Conference in Qingdao
 

On June 6th, Qingdao Clark Logistics Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereafter Qingdao Clark for short) held the 1st Dealer Conference in Qingdao. General Manager of Qingdao Clark Logistics Machinery Co., Ltd. C. H. Han (GM Han for short), the President of Clark (Korean Headquarter) Joo-Hyun (James) Song and relative leaders attended this conference.

 

The guests of this conference included the 11 dealers from Guangdong, Shanghai, Shandong, Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning, Suzhou, Nanjing, Fujian and Zhejiang Regions. Firstly, GM Han reviewed the work of the company in the past two years as in October 2006, the first phase of the plant was finished construction and realized export of 1107 sets in 2007. The company sold 137,300 sets of units in domestic market with a year-on-year increase of 26%, up to 9.5% of the global demands. Clark invested 3 million dollars to construct 2nd phase of the plant to respond the growing Chinese market centralizing Qingdao Plant to realize the second leap-forward. GM Han put forward the following strategies for the Chinese market as to maintain system of regional dealers, to propel the sophistication of products and to remain rapid delivery management. Finally, he said that the most important policy was to ensure the win-win strategy among Clark’s dealers.

 

Then, the President of Clark (Korean Headquarter) James Song showed his appreciation to all the dealers on their long-term cooperation relationship due to their trust on Clark’s technology and products. He said that Clark focused on combining the technical force together with Chinese excellent parts manufacturing capacity. On the operational strategy conference, Clark decided to actively take part in Chinese market by increasing equipment investment in value of more than 3 million dollars to construct business network in China. “Clark will walk out a new way of our own together with all of you for the same goal,” he said to the dealers, “We need to trust each other through transparent and active communication so as to accomplish mutual development.”

 

On the conference, GM Han awarded authorization brand to the dealers. After the Department Chief of Qingdao Clark Huang Haizhu introduced the status of Qingdao Plant, the sales policy, A/S policy of Clark were issued by relevant section chiefs.

 

After taking group photo, Clark demonstrated their CQ15 30 diesel/LPG forklifts and CRX 15 25 trucks to all the dealers and the media. Then, Mr. Huang accompanied the guests to visit Qingdao Plant.

 

Qingdao Clark arranged a banquet providing a perfect communication platform for the dealers to improve their negotiation and cooperation. The President of Clark (Korean Headquarter) James Song cheered with the dealers, and the banquet went to a climax when the General Manager of Qingdao Clark cut the cake together with the dealer representative.

 

On June 7th as the conference ended, Qingdao Clark led the guests to have a look around Qingdao Beer Museum as Qingdao Beer was born in the same year of Clark.  

 

About Clark

 

Clark Material Handling Asia was created as Clark Material Handling Company took over the forklift division of Samsung Heavy Industries on July 16, 1998. 

 

Clark Material Handling Asia designs, manufactures, distributes and supports 1.5 - 7.5 ton IC forklifts and 1.0 - 3 ton counterbalanced and reach machines from its 312,000 sq. ft. facility in Changwon, Korea. The facility sits on 15 acres and employs over 460 people. The Seoul office houses domestic and export sales along with the Finance Department.  Located on the premises is a complete engineering test facility, which allows performance testing for the next generation of Clark products.  The factory is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified.

 

The plant utilizes "Just in Time" and KANBAN, for lean inventory, which lends itself to a much cleaner, uncluttered and efficient facility.
