Kalmar has launched an electric forklift series, designed as a productive, cost-effective, fossil-fuel free and environmentally-friendly unit.

The ECF50-90 forklift uses two compact AC traction motors which can be controlled individually. An electronic control system produces responsive driving characteristics and smooth transitions when accelerating, decelerating, starting and stopping.

This new series, which is capable of handling loads from five to nine tonnes, joins Kalmar’s 'Pro Future' environmentally-friendly family.

To meet 'green' demands, Kalmar's machines are now rated against five ecological decision-making drivers: source of power, energy efficiency, emissions, noise pollution and recyclability.

Within each category, a product or service will be evaluated on a scale of one to five. Qualifying machines will carry a new green and white Pro Future logo.
