  CeMAT Asia 2008 Opened at Shanghai New International Expo Center

  LiuGong Forklift Yanghe Base Was Put into Production
 
On Oct.20th, 2008, Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd (LiuGong) held to celebrate the completion of LiuGong Forklift Yanghe Base and the roll-off of new products. 　 Gothenburg Trusts Kalmar to Supply Empty Container Handling Capacity
Cargotec’s Kalmar business area has been awarded a three-year service contract to supply empty container handling capacity to the Port of Gothenburg’s container terminal in Sweden. The port is buying the capacity it needs from Kalmar on a ‘per-hour’ basis, equivalent to seven DRF100 reachstackers, and so the responsibility for ensuring the highest levels of machine availability falls on Kalmar. 　 Konecranes Expands Canadian Operations - Acquires Assets of Canadian Crane and Service Company
Konecranes has in mid October acquired the business of the Canadian crane and crane service company Provincial Services Crane Specialists, located in Allanburg, Ontario. Konecranes acquired the assets from the owner, who will remain with the company for a transitional period. The company has 20 employees and net sales of approx EUR 4 million. CeMAT Asia 2008 held the opening ceremony at Shanghai New International Expo Center on Oct. 27th, 2008.

 

Linde (China) Forklift Truck Corp., Ltd. attended the exhibition with unique designed space and opening booth of 169m2, attracting lots of visitors, foreigners and purchasers as well. Linde also brought customer service professionals and on-spot engineers to the exhibition with an originally designed Linde Service Solution, solving the issues customers concerned on the actual application of forklifts and helping the customers know the details about forklift maintenance so as to provide perfect one-stop solutions through on-site operation and demonstration.

Stellana is an important player in the global market of wheels for electric trucks and hand pallet trucks. Our major customers are manufacturers of electric trucks and hand pallet trucks as well as castor manufacturers. We also produce many different types of special wheels for other applications, e.g. for military tracked vehicles, wheels that can withstand the high temperatures in baking ovens, wheels for conveyors, etc.

In our Laxå factory we have facilities to meet the great expectations of our customers as regards our products. A majority of our customers are market-dominating within their line of business and many are to be found outside Sweden. Europe and North America represent 45 per cent of Stellana’s share of exports, but also the Japanese market is of importance. We are always aiming at a good co-operation with the customer.

Stellana is responsible for the marketing of wheels produced by Elastomeric Engineering Co. Ltd. in Sri Lanka. Besides wheels, Elastomeric is also producing rubber tyres for castors and solid tyres for industrial application.
