  Gunter celebrates 40 years with Jungheinrich
 
Gunter Fritzsche - one of the forklift truck industry's best known personalities - recently celebrated forty years with Jungheinrich.

Gunter, who joined the Jungheinrich Group as a trainee in Germany before moving to the UK, has held a number of positions with the company but is perhaps best known for his role in establishing Jungheinrich (UK) Ltd's Automated Systems Division at Wythenshawe, near Manchester.

  Hyster Company Offers Two Reach Truck Attachments
 
Hyster Company offers the fork laser and the fork camera, two attachment options for the Hyster® ZR Reach truck. Designed to increase operator productivity, these attachments help limit costs associated with product and rack damage, and can also improve operator safety within the warehouse.

The fork laser emits a beam that provides lift truck operators with a guide for correct fork placement when retrieving product. The life span of the fork laser attachment exceeds 10,000 hours, while each battery pack lasts up to forty hours on a full charge. Especially useful in environments with low visibility, the laser can be displayed as either a dot beam or line beam, depending upon operator preference.

　 Jungheinrich’S New EFG 2 And 3 Series Trucks Offer Industry-Leading Performance and Increased Energy Efficiency
RICHMOND, VA – Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corporation will present a technology study in the form of a life-size mock-up of a ride-on pedestrian pallet truck at its ProMAT booth #2019 in Chicago on January 12-15, 2009. This Concept Truck looks different than a traditional end-rider pallet truck, it puts forward a more “floating” type of ride for the operator, and more energy efficiency than today’s vehicles. In fact, the energy efficient characteristics it theorizes would likely exceed even that of the 3-phase AC technology already in use in Jungheinrich trucks by some 15% and could potentially lead to considerably higher throughput in customer applications.
