As LiuGong’s international forklift business was actively propelling in overseas market, after comprehensively considering many factors, the company prepared to build 8 overseas parts sales centers in the worldwide according to the sales of forklifts and the demand of customers in the world so as to support the expansion of overseas forklift business and provide more fast and convenient parts service for overseas customers. On May 6th, Zhejiang Xinchai Co., Ltd. held grand opening and foundation ceremony of energy-saving & environmental-friendly diesel engines in Houxi Village, High-New Technology Industrial Park in Xinchang County. Chairman of the Board Zhu Kaiwei, Secretary of Party Committee Ding Boyuan, President Chen Yanda, other cadres from Xinchai, leaders from Zhejiang Shengzhou Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. as construction unit, leaders from Zhejiang Huacheng Engineering Management Co., Ltd. as engineering supervision unit and some construction staff attended this ceremony. The Mediterranean supply chain continues to invest in the container handling capacity of its Moroccan and Spanish ports by placing more orders for Kalmar’s all-electric rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes.
Kalmar has received an order for 10 E-One+ units from Somaport operating at the Port of Casablanca. The 7+1 wide and 1-over-5 high RTGs, outfitted with Bromma twinlift spreaders and Kalmar’s autosteering and container position verification system, Smartrail®, will be delivered by the beginning of 2009. | South Africa's Transnet Port Terminals aims higher with 30 new Kalmar CSC straddle carriers |

Kalmar Industries, part of Cargotec Corporation, has been awarded a contract by Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) of South Africa to supply 30 CSC440 straddle carriers for its operations at Durban Container Terminal (DCT) in the Port of Durban. The new order further strengthens the long-term partnership between the two parties and cements Kalmar’s position as TPT’s preferred supplier of yard handling equipment to South Africa’s busiest container port.
