On March 27th, President & COO of Cummins Joe Loughrey and Vice-President Steven Chapman arrived in Liuzhou to have a visit on Liugong.
It was the first time for Joe Loughrey to visit Liugong. He showed his acknowledgement and said that he has seen the strength and status of Liugong as the leading enterprise in Chinese Construction Industry through this visit. As a manufacturer, Liugong is a vital and energetic enterprise. Joe felt confident to the growth prospect of Liugong in this year. He said this visit was important for Cummins. Material handling equipment market posts dynamic growth / Board of Management proposes dividend increase Hamburg—In 2007, Jungheinrich AG developed successfully on a material handling equipment market posting dynamic growth. The company looks back on the best financial year in its corporate history. Demand for all products and services rose significantly. Jungheinrich stayed its course for profitable growth on the strength of a significant rise in incoming orders and positive earnings. Consolidated net sales reached a record level of 2 billion euros for the first time. The reengineering of manufacturing procedures at the Norderstedt plant was completed successfully.
"We increased operating income for the eighth consecutive year," stated Hans-Georg Frey, Chairman of the Board of Management, at the company’s balance sheet press conference in Hamburg. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were up 19 per cent to 140 million euros compared with the previous year (118 million euros). Jungheinrich’s EBIT return on sales (ROS) improved to 7.0 per cent (prior year: 6.8 per cent). At 24.1 per cent, the EBIT return on capital employed (ROCE) was markedly up on the 23.5 per cent recorded a year earlier. Earnings after taxes (net income) advanced 22 per cent to 82 million euros (prior year: 67 million euros). As a result, earnings per share grew to 2.40 euros (prior year: 1.96 euros). [>> More<<] |

| Komatsu promises advanced forklift for Australia |

The Australian forklift industry will be introduced to the new range of Komatsu AE50/AM50 counterbalance electrics, with Red Australia set to unveil the new three and four-wheel trucks ranging from 1.8 to 2.0 tonne capacity in March.

| Genie Industries Announces Plans For Global Expansion; To Establish Manufacturing Plant In China |

REDMOND, WASH. (April 14, 2008) – As part of a plan to expand globally, Genie Industries, a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and part of Terex Corporation’s (NYSE:TEX), Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) segment, has selected a new manufacturing site in China. This announcement follows recent news that Terex AWP has begun manufacturing Genie branded scissor lifts in Coventry, England, along with aerial booms and telehandlers in Perugia, Italy.
“In 2007, a large percentage of our sales came from outside of North America,” said Tim Ford, President, Terex AWP. “Our markets around the world are growing and we want to provide them with world class products, designed and produced locally, to their local specifications. Wuhan Facility is First Cummins Fuel Systems Plant Outside North America
WUHAN, China--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cummins (NYSE:CMI) today announced the opening of its first fuel systems manufacturing site outside of North America, the Cummins Fuel Systems Wuhan Plant.
Wuhan, the capital city of Central China's Hubei Province, also is home to a regional Cummins service center and a technical center joint venture owned by Cummins and Dongfeng Motor Company. Cummins has made an initial investment of $10 million into the plant, which will manufacture Cummins Common Rail fuel pumps and CELECT injectors/fuel pumps, primarily for the China market.
